All i want for christmas!!

Soo I'm bringing out my Christmas wishlist earlier than expected so in case a lovely friend wants to start saving in time.. lol. They also include things i want to get for myself. My mum has said I give myself gifts too much, well GUILTY! I usually don't wait for people to get me things, I just go out and get them myself but its the season of giving and receiving so I'm very much open to gifts!

My very first is my favorite shoe designer in the world which i have no shoe from; Roger Vivier
1) The goddess and enveloppe

2) No news that i wanted almost everything from this collection

3) And during one of my Net a porter fantasy shopping sessions, I came across; Marlene! First thing I thought was that this is soo Carrie Bradshaw. Only for me to click and find out indeed it was inspired by Sex and the city. I love it because its so unlike me, a little more vivacious and outgoing than I am and that's how I like my accessories to be. Its almost two thousand dollars so I wouldn't hold my breath on this one but its a wishlist so...

3) A little more down to earth and we have The Patchwork sandal by Zara! I think its the perfect holiday shoe specially if you don't want to go all glitzy on your outfit. Its sort of similar to the Goddess too!

4)  From the talents that are Virgos lounge, I want the poppy skirt and i'm probably going to get it

5) Vintage bookcase. I think this came to me in a dream, I have no picture for this apart from the mental picture in my head. Its rustic and has a lot of texture to it! I may have to settle for vintage inspired as I've not seen anything close to what I want.

6) Two books for my imaginary vintage book case;

That kind of  concludes my list... for now lol! would be doing a post on Christmas gifts for family members. Even if you haven't given your family members gifts in a while, its a good time to start now. Also, remember the under-privileged this holiday, there are a number of charities you can donate to or do volunteer work like sharing out fliers or even getting others to donate to them!

P.s: I had to reduce the size of most pictures cuz they were not in high resolution

Loving "Vintage Love" + Style Post

Jewel by Lisa, one of my favorite Nigerian Luxury brands recently released the lookbook for their spring summer collection which was shown at the Arise Africa Collective at Newyork Fashion week. I really love this collection because of the artsy feel to it. The vivacious prints and colour plus the simplistic style results to what i call a fashion bomb. This is not my first time blogging about JBL, i have done a couple of posts on my other blog and i'm sure this won't be the last. i'm a huge fan of her work!
So here are a few of my favorites from the collection,

And my favorite from the collection is this very dressy dress below. I love the silhouette, I'm sort of falling for the 40's dress styles a la karla of www.karlascloset.com I tweeted earlier that the dress has that soho (in newyork) vibe and in my other life as a newyorker, I would throw on a faux fur shrug and strappy Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

Another thing I love about the JBL brand is how well they have embraced social media. check out the Vintage love meets Newyork video

I must admit its quite daunting to be throwing my personal style photos after a professional models' but well....... lol! Took these over a month ago and i haven't had the time to put it up till now

The skirt is Lady BiBa. I got the fabric at an amazing deal, 300 naira say whattt from my fabric stockist. i was going to make a dress then i had a designer's block and a midi was the next thing on my mind. It has become my go-to skirt for lazy style days.

Its soo easy to wear and style. One thing i noticed is it makes me look shorter so if you are looking to create the illusion of height, the midi is not for you.

I styled it with one of my favorite necklaces  (dunno where its from) and a vest from h&m.

P.s: Hey there new followers! Thank you for joining my blog, even though you're just 10, I appreciate you guys and for those who come on my blog regularly you can show some love by following. Like i said i love feedback and your comments keep me going! Thank you all

Bloopers: MSU Loves Lady BiBa Shoot

Hello style bingers, Its not news to anyone that reads my blog that I have fashion label. Anyways, I had a shoot with the lovely students of Morgan state University who are also my friends. The shoot is no high fashion or the regular you see. It was mainly to showcase the versatility nd wearability of my designs. I  gave the models a free hand to style themselves and I was amazed at the results. They worked the pieces with their wardrobe staples like skinnies, tank tops and blazer. All in all, It was FUN. I'm giving my readers first look into the shoot, some of which are unedited. The full photos would be on the Lady BiBa Facebook page. Enjoy...

Goke the fabulous photog that we were trying to ogle lol! He has worked with Hi mag n Haute fashion africa among others

Yep! That's me in the middle with the mean face, I was actually gunning for a straight face.. Lol

Models from Left to right; Clare, Renua, Mary, Nike, My sis Tosin (who actually didn't model but was a big help *mwahh), My cousin Dami and Morenike

TEAM Beautiful Hair

Hello style bingers! This is my first beauty post and its on the subject of hair. I had my big chop 5 months ago and even though i have loved going back to my nappy roots, Its not all daisies and sunflowers. Sometimes I wonder when people say they haven't regretted a day of chopping of their long relaxed locks. Maybe its because I'm an indecisive person that does not like to stay on one style for too long. Cutting my hair was one of the most impulsive decisions I've ever made given the very rational being that I am.
So today I've decided to do what i normally do before making big decisions i.e weigh my options. Using a pros and cons list, I would document my naptural hair journey but first of all my pre-natural hair journey in pictures (that i could find)

STRAIGHT AND LONG

NAPPY BY NATURE

REAL-LAXED HAIR! asides from middle picture

CONS

1)  I hate full on weaves so I have to worry about straightening my hair every day and heat is bad for the real hair.

2) I have missed packing my hair in a pony tail :(

3) African hair is tough yo! Every salon appointment is a hassle... literally

4) Versatility. Natural hair has fewer hairstyles

PROS

1) The Texture!!! Even my mum can't resist touching my hair. My hand is constantly in my hair.

2) My hair feels loved like never before. Its like I have a connection to it. sigh :)

3) Its mine MINE mine. i mean my relaxed hair was mine but there was nothing special about it. I'm actually very proud of it in all its nappy goodness. hahaa!

I could have sworn I had more pros.. Lol but even with the fewer pros. The still trump over the cons. I've had days I thought I was going to relax my hair and get it over with but I'm too into this new texture and feel. I can't speak for the future me but what I know is whatever hair I would be rocking, Natural or Relaxed, so far i love it and its beautiful. That's all that counts!!
