Miss Fever

My friend, Lanre's birthday was a week ago. I managed to find a few good pics of myself.

I'm wearing the Miss fever blouse by Lady Biba with nude tights and platforms. I also had a fever that day (Not that this is relevant in any way) Sorry I don't have a full picture.

The birthday girl below! Forgot to ask her who she was wearing. For some reason, the picture refused to rotate

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!

Wedding with my cousins

I was my cousin's plus one to a wedding of one of their friends. I wore my Lady dress by Lady BiBa, felt like a princess in it and it was so easy to dress it up.

The bride by the way was such a rockstar! Her dreads were so spot on and the neatest I've seen. My cousin, Kemi was a bridesmaid.

The bridesmaids' dresses are very practical! Love that

Bibi's Kitchen: Stir-fry Spaghetti

This is the first from the series; Bibi's Kitchen. I've always had a penchant for cooking but I bore easily when the meals are same old same old. So i often go on about.com to check out recipes and put my own spin on them. I actually learnt how to make stir-fry from our former cook who made mostly chinese recipes. Stir fry is common among the chinese people. Almost all their meals are stir fry, I chose this recipe because its easy to make and easy to put your own spin to!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Spaghetti
Chicken
Shrimps
Carrots
Green pepper
Onion
Garlic (optional)
Soysauce
Vegetable/Olive oil
Maggi

STEPS
1) Since chicken takes a while to cook, we start with it. Wash it and dice it into small pieces
Then, boil it with salt, maggi, onions and garlic if you please

2) Once the chicken is cooking, we can put the spaghetti to boil also. You should not let the spaghetti cook for to long to avoid it being soggy so you can wait a few minutes before boiling it.

3) While the spaghetti and chicken are cooking, We start to chop the vegetables.

For the carrots, I prefer a rounded shape but if you don't you can go for semi circles or simply dice them into little squares

For the onions, I placed on the side and cut thin slices to give a rounded shape to but I diced the green pepper

4) Now, we have the chopped veggies, boiled spaghetti and chicken. Time to stir fry.
Get your fry pan, heat it up add a little oil (not as much for full frying but just enough to go round)
Fry the onions first then add your green pepper. Once the onions start to turn transparent, add your carrots then your shrimps and then chicken. Add this point, the mixture is starting to give off liquid but its still frying. Add all seasoning, soy sauce and more and more and more garlic like my cousin would say.

5) Once the veggies are well cooked, add the spaghetti to the mixture and stir until evenly blended. Wait for a few minuted for the spaghetti to dry and there you have it! Stir fry spaghetti!!

My invaluable assistant, Blessing! She helped buy most of the ingredients

My brother wolfing down on his meal. He is my tongue for most of my experiment recipes. Asides from the fact that he likes food, He gives an honest critic of my dishes

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial. If you have any questions or tips you will like to share, Feel free to leave it in the comment box. Been looking forward to doing this for a while. May do a video next time.

Before Christmas Sunday

Hello, style bingers. I've been owing you all posts and decided to try to make up for being a bad blogger.

I remember when i couldn't reach the top of the tree

Dress: Asos
Shoes: Carvela
Watch: Vintage Gucci
Ring: Diva House

I noticed i have a lot of short dresses in my closet, wearing this dress made me realize that this length works well and the fit is amazing as well. Its the first time I'm wearing red and I love the colour on me, would def invest in more red. Nothing says bold like red.
Soo what are your christmas plans?? Not sure what I'm doing yet or rather what the family is doing but I know I'll be having fun. Expect a cooking tutorial plus more style posts and randomness to come! I've missed blogging!!!!

All i want for christmas!!

Soo I'm bringing out my Christmas wishlist earlier than expected so in case a lovely friend wants to start saving in time.. lol. They also include things i want to get for myself. My mum has said I give myself gifts too much, well GUILTY! I usually don't wait for people to get me things, I just go out and get them myself but its the season of giving and receiving so I'm very much open to gifts!

My very first is my favorite shoe designer in the world which i have no shoe from; Roger Vivier
1) The goddess and enveloppe

2) No news that i wanted almost everything from this collection

3) And during one of my Net a porter fantasy shopping sessions, I came across; Marlene! First thing I thought was that this is soo Carrie Bradshaw. Only for me to click and find out indeed it was inspired by Sex and the city. I love it because its so unlike me, a little more vivacious and outgoing than I am and that's how I like my accessories to be. Its almost two thousand dollars so I wouldn't hold my breath on this one but its a wishlist so...

3) A little more down to earth and we have The Patchwork sandal by Zara! I think its the perfect holiday shoe specially if you don't want to go all glitzy on your outfit. Its sort of similar to the Goddess too!

4)  From the talents that are Virgos lounge, I want the poppy skirt and i'm probably going to get it

5) Vintage bookcase. I think this came to me in a dream, I have no picture for this apart from the mental picture in my head. Its rustic and has a lot of texture to it! I may have to settle for vintage inspired as I've not seen anything close to what I want.

6) Two books for my imaginary vintage book case;

That kind of  concludes my list... for now lol! would be doing a post on Christmas gifts for family members. Even if you haven't given your family members gifts in a while, its a good time to start now. Also, remember the under-privileged this holiday, there are a number of charities you can donate to or do volunteer work like sharing out fliers or even getting others to donate to them!

P.s: I had to reduce the size of most pictures cuz they were not in high resolution

Loving "Vintage Love" + Style Post

Jewel by Lisa, one of my favorite Nigerian Luxury brands recently released the lookbook for their spring summer collection which was shown at the Arise Africa Collective at Newyork Fashion week. I really love this collection because of the artsy feel to it. The vivacious prints and colour plus the simplistic style results to what i call a fashion bomb. This is not my first time blogging about JBL, i have done a couple of posts on my other blog and i'm sure this won't be the last. i'm a huge fan of her work!
So here are a few of my favorites from the collection,

And my favorite from the collection is this very dressy dress below. I love the silhouette, I'm sort of falling for the 40's dress styles a la karla of www.karlascloset.com I tweeted earlier that the dress has that soho (in newyork) vibe and in my other life as a newyorker, I would throw on a faux fur shrug and strappy Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

Another thing I love about the JBL brand is how well they have embraced social media. check out the Vintage love meets Newyork video

I must admit its quite daunting to be throwing my personal style photos after a professional models' but well....... lol! Took these over a month ago and i haven't had the time to put it up till now

The skirt is Lady BiBa. I got the fabric at an amazing deal, 300 naira say whattt from my fabric stockist. i was going to make a dress then i had a designer's block and a midi was the next thing on my mind. It has become my go-to skirt for lazy style days.

Its soo easy to wear and style. One thing i noticed is it makes me look shorter so if you are looking to create the illusion of height, the midi is not for you.

I styled it with one of my favorite necklaces  (dunno where its from) and a vest from h&m.

P.s: Hey there new followers! Thank you for joining my blog, even though you're just 10, I appreciate you guys and for those who come on my blog regularly you can show some love by following. Like i said i love feedback and your comments keep me going! Thank you all
