You heard me right! Let's shake our booty to Prabal Gurung's promo video with artist Rye Rye who BOF dot com refers to as a "baltimore booty shaking artist" erm ok! lol. Even though its 3 months old (In fashion 3 months might as well be a decade) I do love the video, dance and fashion!! my two favorite things apart from tv shows and chocolate and cooking... ok I have a lot of favorite things.
Say Hello to Rye Rye's newest fan!

Bloopers: MSU Loves Lady BiBa Shoot

Hello style bingers, Its not news to anyone that reads my blog that I have fashion label. Anyways, I had a shoot with the lovely students of Morgan state University who are also my friends. The shoot is no high fashion or the regular you see. It was mainly to showcase the versatility nd wearability of my designs. I  gave the models a free hand to style themselves and I was amazed at the results. They worked the pieces with their wardrobe staples like skinnies, tank tops and blazer. All in all, It was FUN. I'm giving my readers first look into the shoot, some of which are unedited. The full photos would be on the Lady BiBa Facebook page. Enjoy...

Goke the fabulous photog that we were trying to ogle lol! He has worked with Hi mag n Haute fashion africa among others

Yep! That's me in the middle with the mean face, I was actually gunning for a straight face.. Lol

Can you hear what my eyes are saying

Models from Left to right; Clare, Renua, Mary, Nike, My sis Tosin (who actually didn't model but was a big help *mwahh), My cousin Dami and Morenike

That is all for now! Will let you know when the pictures are up on my Lady BiBa page. Incase you haven't liked the page. Here is the link
Thank you all for the comments! It inspires me to continue and like I said before Your feedback is always welcome!

TEAM Beautiful Hair

Hello style bingers! This is my first beauty post and its on the subject of hair. I had my big chop 5 months ago and even though i have loved going back to my nappy roots, Its not all daisies and sunflowers. Sometimes I wonder when people say they haven't regretted a day of chopping of their long relaxed locks. Maybe its because I'm an indecisive person that does not like to stay on one style for too long. Cutting my hair was one of the most impulsive decisions I've ever made given the very rational being that I am.
So today I've decided to do what i normally do before making big decisions i.e weigh my options. Using a pros and cons list, I would document my naptural hair journey but first of all my pre-natural hair journey in pictures (that i could find)

STRAIGHT AND LONG

NAPPY BY NATURE

REAL-LAXED HAIR! asides from middle picture

CONS

1)  I hate full on weaves so I have to worry about straightening my hair every day and heat is bad for the real hair.

2) I have missed packing my hair in a pony tail :(

3) African hair is tough yo! Every salon appointment is a hassle... literally

4) Versatility. Natural hair has fewer hairstyles

PROS

1) The Texture!!! Even my mum can't resist touching my hair. My hand is constantly in my hair.

2) My hair feels loved like never before. Its like I have a connection to it. sigh :)

3) Its mine MINE mine. i mean my relaxed hair was mine but there was nothing special about it. I'm actually very proud of it in all its nappy goodness. hahaa!

I could have sworn I had more pros.. Lol but even with the fewer pros. The still trump over the cons. I've had days I thought I was going to relax my hair and get it over with but I'm too into this new texture and feel. I can't speak for the future me but what I know is whatever hair I would be rocking, Natural or Relaxed, so far i love it and its beautiful. That's all that counts!!

A crown of chiffon

Sooo, I've crowned myself the queen of chiffon and no approval from anyone is needed... lol. My love for Chiffon started over 2 years ago and now I would say 80 percent of my wardrobe is made up of chiffon. I did not even notice my love for the fabric until my friend who hadn't even seen me in a while noticed I wore it in most of my pictures.
This dress from Armani Exchange embodies all that I fell for in the fabric. The floatyness (yes, i just invented this word. lol),  femininity, lightness are some of the many reasons for my love of chiffon.

Closer look at the detailing on the sleeve. Peep the lace and ruffles!!! Grrrrr, I'm a total girl and I love it

Oh and I got my first comment on this blog! Thank you M (Even though i have no idea who you are). I appreciate those who come on my blog even though its not receiving as much traffic as my other blog, i know it will get there and even further soon.
Please, feel very free to leave comments and ask questions. I always love feedback!!!

Princess and the pearl

Today was a typical saturday in Lagos i.e Weddings. I decided to be my mums handbag for the wedding she was attending today. I am wearing one of my first sewing projects; the lace blouse. I actually wore it to my first ever fashion show so it has a lot of sentimental value to me. The skirt is actually Lady BiBa, It was made for a client but she didnt pick it up so i decided to covet it and i actually love it. It is one of the season's hot trends and it is also easy to style. Here, i'm dressing it up, I would do another post later where i dress it down. My outfit was able to score me potential Lady BiBa clients! Score!!!

For some reason i've always related to the fairytale; the princess and the pea and pairing black and gold together gives off a regal look, don't you think.

The fabric rose ring is from tesco.. i think.. not sure but the necklace, other ring and earrings are from f21, the belt is a gift from a friend and purse is from my momma.

On that wanna be health nut note, *heavy sigh* I was supposed to do a herbal tea detox this weekend but reneged because of potential small chops which i did not get. Btw, what wedding does not have small chops *insert straight face*. I ended satisfying my junk food binge with kfc chicken and fries. I could hear my body crying "Noooo". I need more discipline but i'm only human. Hopefully, I'll have positive healthy news next time after all the body is the business, if you take care of it, it will thank you.
OHH and Happy Independence Day to those that acknowledge it. I have more to say on Nigeria at 51 but will save it for another post.
